Marcia Harp - Reading Specialist

Mrs. Harp earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a Kindergarten endorsement from Eastern Kentucky University. She received her Master’s degree with a Reading Specialist endorsement from the University of Kentucky. Most of her 37 years of teaching experience have been right here at Christ the King. She began as a second grade teacher, and later taught sixth grade social studies and science for part of the day while also working in the Reading Lab. Since 1989 her time has been solely dedicated to the Reading Lab. Her professional memberships include the International Reading Association and the National Catholic Education Association. Mrs. Harp is also assistant coach of the Middle School Academic Team, co-coordinator of the Governor’s Cup and Accelerated Reader programs, and a member of the Environmental Committee.
Stephanie Hall - Instructional Specialist

Mrs. Hall comes to Christ the King with 14 years of teaching experience mainly in the field of Special Education. She taught 9 years at Collins Lane Elementary in Franklin County instructing children with learning disabilities and mild behavioral issues in both resource and collaborative settings. From 1996-1999 she was involved with KY Agriculture and Environment in the Classroom. She served as a state trainer and was awarded 1997-98 Teacher of the Year by the KY Department of Agriculture. In 1999 she transferred to Fayette Co. Schools where she worked as a special education facilitator for 3 years. Mrs. Hall has also acted as a resource professional for teacher interns participating in the K-TIP program. Throughout her career she has also taught and directed reading tutorial programs for learning disabled students in both Louisville and Frankfort. After a 6 year hiatus she has returned to teaching at CKS as the Success Program teacher and Instructional Specialist. She has an undergraduate degree in Special Education from Bellarmine College and a Masters degree in counseling psychology from the University of Louisville.
