Parents AND TEACHERS Working Together FOR Student Growth

Dear CKS Families,

Welcome back!!!!! The 2021/22 school year and your CKS PTO look promising with a pandemic (hopefully)behind us…we are so excited to get this year started! As a parent/guardian of a CKS student, you are automatically a member of the CKS PTO – an organization established to facilitate the educational efforts of our teachers and staff through a continuum of volunteer and fundraising opportunities.

One of the most appealing attributes of our school and parish is the sense of community provided to each and every child that crosses our threshold. It is our hope that you too will find that sense of community through active involvement within our church and school. Service to others and stewardship are two tenants of our faith foundation; they are also weaved into the everyday teachings of our Christ the King School. The listing of volunteer opportunities (attached and found on the Christ the King PTO Facebook page) is meant to help you navigate this upcoming school year and act as a personal invitation for your involvement.

The CKS PTO meetings are open meetings, where parents and families are encouraged to attend and take an active role. Having had last year “off” because of COVID, many executive board positions are currently available. Principal Bruggeman requested insight and assistance in resurrecting the CKS PTO by the three past PTO presidents. If you are interested in becoming more involved or would like to nominate someone please contact one of us, your interim/acting CKS PTO Presidents: Jennifer Bennett (Anna Grace, Abigail), Megan Giles (Benton, Sammy, and Mary) and Shana Peterson (Elle -2019 Alum, Emme and Evie). Please note that we are seeking immediate nominations for a President and President-Elect to hold office starting January 2022 at which time, the current acting presidents will assist with a seamless transition.

Our hope is that you find our Christ the King Community to be a welcoming community filled with love and compassion that nurtures and develops your child(ren) to be the next generation of good stewards. If there is anything we can do to be of assistance this year and in the future, please do not hesitate to reach out!

Kindest Regards,
